F11 shareholder residency in El Salvador
The F11 category covers foreigners who founded a Salvadoran company and hold shares in it. Article 173 of the Regulation ties it to share capital that the applicant both subscribed and paid.
It is a corporate route: the key evidence is the registered deed or share certificate rather than proof of personal income.

How the application works
- Identify the correct residence category for your situation; an entry visa is not the same as residence.
- Download the official F form for that category and read its complete, current requirements, timelines and fees.
- Gather the general and category-specific documents, with apostilles and Spanish translations.
- Lodge the application with the DGME and pay the government fees.
- The authority reviews documents and background; it may request more information.
- Only if approved is the temporary residence card issued. Renewal conditions vary by category and must be met each time.
